What to Include on Your Home Page

It can be confusing to know what to put on your homepage. There are certain things you should put there, but you should also be choosy enough to not clutter it up. Confused? Let’s run through these simple tips to help you understand what to include on your home page. 💜

  1. An attention getting headline. This captures your user’s interest and makes them want to learn more about you.

  2. “Calls to Action” (CTAs) that create curiosity. Use a variety of primary and secondary CTAs.

  3. Captivating Images: Images that spark a vibe and a feeling. What would you like to communicate about yourself through images?

  4. Benefits: What benefits will your user get from working with you? Remember: you are not the star of the show...your user is!

  5. Testimonials: Glowing reviews of what it’s like working with you. If you don’t have a testimonial yet, then add a quote from you.

  6. Navigation to your other pages. Make sure your users can get to where they need to go. This is self-explanatory!

  7. Email list sign up and freebies. This helps you build a following that you own and avoids you being at the mercy of an algorithm.

  8. Proof: Badges, certifications, awards, or organizations you belong to. Show everyone you’re legit!

I hope this helps!
